OUR VALUES

Since its inception, the Legislative Studies Institute and its associates have resisted the role of advocating for or having parochial affiliations with any particular political parties. Instead, we choose to advance a set of values that is predicated on being a vanguard for democratic systems as follows:

  • We value the responsibility placed upon each of us to contribute to our nation state.
  • We value conscience – conscience that balances self-interest with an obligation to the common good and future generations.

  • We value progress – but progress that strengthens comity of nations within the confines of the law.
  • We value genuine opportunity for all to participate in the process of governance.
  • We value citizen involvement and action in the legislative process with a view to shaping the future.
  • We value fairness that allows all who contribute to the nation’s prosperity to share in it.
